Dear Asha MK,
Certifications in the field of Quality Management are always useful for HR professionals. During the meetings with the operations or quality management professionals, the knowledge of this subject will help you understand what they say. Additionally, in your department, this course will help you in recruitment, employee training, career planning, payroll processing etc.
However, knowledge of the ISO standards and TQM precedes taking a course in Six Sigma. Have you taken courses on these subjects? Secondly, though the concepts of Six Sigma are applicable to the service and manufacturing sector, these are prominently used in the former in India. Do you work in a manufacturing company?
Taking a course on an overview of Six Sigma is fine, however, to gain deeper knowledge, one should be well conversant in the maths and stats. Are you good at these subjects?
By the way, "lean" and "Six Sigma", are independent subjects. Both have independent identities. These cannot be clubbed together.
Thanks,

Dear Asha MK,
This is my follow-up post. Recently, advertisements regarding quality-related courses were published in the Times of India or Economic Times. I am attaching the newspaper clippings about them.
Though "Quality Management with Six Sigma" is already over, you can note their website and do the course whenever they release the ad for the future course. The other one "Lean Six Sigma Green Belt" will be useful to you.
Thanks,
Dinesh Divekar
