There is a case in our organization where an employee is always late, and absenteeism is high. We are planning to start a program.

So, I want to know:
1. What are the improvement programs in an organization?
2. Where does the attendance improvement program fall?

Please share case studies related to it for reference.

Hi,

Please call that employee and find out the root cause for habitual lateness and absenteeism. He may have family issues or might be spending more time traveling. So, find out first. Then explain the importance of punctuality and how it helps kickstart work. If it is teamwork, explain how his lateness affects other team members, etc.

You may introduce an early bird award with specific criteria to motivate employees.

If necessary, introduce a policy of leave or salary deduction after every two instances of late reporting to the office. However, keep this as a last resort.
