I joined a startup company where we have about 10 employees and are about to expand. I joined as an HR Manager (experience only in recruiting) where I don't have experience in manual payroll processing. Can someone suggest free payroll processing software so that I can generate the following, as we aim to run the company with a corporate culture:

1. Payslips
2. Maintain Attendance
3. Leave Management
4. Pre-leave Management and so on (Suggestions are most welcome)

Dear Indu,

My suggestion is not to use free standalone software for payroll and employee-related information. Once you add more employees, it would be difficult to migrate the data. Most of the free software available does not ensure statutory compliance. Therefore, my recommendation is to subscribe to a cloud-based HR Payroll solution. For example, try greytHR. It is a great solution for both startups and enterprises. Cost-wise, I do not think anybody else offers a better package.

If you are looking for a tool to engage employees and enhance the corporate culture, choose a solution with a good reputation, co-created with industry leaders, built with solid technology stack, good testimonials, and financially sound (to avoid sudden shutdowns).
