Is PL or EL mandatory for a company? Can you please help me with the details?

Both EL (Earned Leave) and PL (Privileged Leave) mean the same, and granting leave to employees is mandatory for any organization. The number of leaves to which an employee is entitled may change depending on the nature of the industry, i.e., factory, mine, plantation, or commercial establishments.

Under the Tamil Nadu Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, you are supposed to give 12 days of Casual Leave and 12 days of Sick Leave to every employee. Moreover, every employee who completes 12 months of service shall be entitled to 12 days of Earned Leave.
