Dear Team,

I need help with a query from our team. For example, one employee named 'A' had their PF contributions paid for 10 months into another employee's account, 'B'. When we visited the PF office, they requested copies of both employees' contributions for A and B to merge A's PF contribution with the amount contributed by 'B'. They also advised not to pay PF for three months into B's account. However, the amount has not yet been reverted back to A's account. Kindly suggest what steps to take.

Dear Colleague,

Kindly visit the EPFO and meet the Assistant Commissioner of PF - Accounts to submit all relevant documents. He will review and process the order internally, after which the EDP of the EPFO will make the necessary corrections. It is advisable to make a personal visit as sending letters may result in longer processing times.

Thank you.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to request clarification regarding EPF calculation.

One of the companies is calculating and deducting the employee's contribution to the PF amount as follows:

Basic + DA + Special Allowance + Children Education Allowance = 4500 + 9400 + 500 + 200 = 14600 * 12% = 1752

Could you please confirm if this calculation is correct? Your prompt response would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you so much.

PF needs to be contributed on basic, DA, and all allowances other than HRA and Overtime. Only special allowances given to a specific team for reimbursement of expenses connected to the work, and not given in general to all employees, may be excluded from the computation.
