The Rules for the Industrial Relations Code are a new set of rules that would replace the current rules with a single set of rules for all employers. The rules would also include provisions for an independent workplace ombudsman. The proposed rules will be introduced to Cabinet on May 7, and a public consultation period is scheduled to end July 6, 2019. The Rules for the Industrial Relations Code would also include provisions for a new Occupational Safety and Health Act that would create a single set of rules for the health and safety of workers.
The proposed act would provide for a single workplace ombudsman and would cover all workplaces, including those in the construction industry. The proposed act is scheduled to be introduced to Cabinet on May.
Labour Market Review The Labour Market Review is scheduled to be introduced to Cabinet on May.
