Dear All,

Good Afternoon!

One of my friends has been working in a firm since August 2013. He would now like to claim his PF amount. However, in his PF profile, his date of birth (DOB) is wrongly entered. His actual DOB is 25.12.1972, but in the PF account, it is mentioned as 25.12.1993 (a 21-year difference!). He has submitted an affidavit and some certificates from the Panchayath for the correction of his DOB, but the PF office is not accepting them. The PF officer is now suggesting that he obtains a passport, but he does not have a metric certificate.

Please advise on what the solution could be for this situation.

Regards,
Manu
