Hi,

I am new to this site. I am working as an Executive HR in a software company in Bangalore. At our company, we issue mobile phones to newly joining Senior Executives. Could any of you help in formulating a policy for the usage, maintenance, etc., of the cell phone?

Thank you,

Hi Visu,

The telephone policy for senior executives can be executed as follows:

1) Contact different operators for the group connection called CUG (Closed User Group). The tariff would be cheaper than any other options.
2) The second option is to ask them to get the phone themselves and reimburse within the limit.

I am currently interning at one of the leading HR consultancies during my summers. I have designed the telephone policy for the organization and received approval from the relevant authorities.

I hope this information is helpful.

Thanks and regards,
Sridhar

Hi Nisha,

Thank you for the reply. Actually, we are running a corporate package. What I need is to frame a guiding policy for all employees to whom we issue the mobile phones, i.e., the rules and regulations.

Goodbye,
Viswanath

Hello Nisha,

Welcome to hrcite and a member from Electronic City. I think an integrated package is available in the market which includes cell phones, internet, and paging with courier facility to reach you within a 24/7 framework.

Hi!

From a policy development perspective, the cellphone policy is part of the Communications Policy. Its content includes entitlement, usage, billing, treatment of personal use/calls, maintenance, loss/replacement, upgrades, etc.

We sell the Communications Policy as part of the Admin Services Policy Manual, which includes: Vehicle Assignment Policy, Vehicle Maintenance Policy, Gas/Petrol Issuance Policy, Safety and Health Policy, and Security Policy.

You can get the individual policy contents of the Admin Manual for FREE if you join The Corporate Policy Center and enroll in its FREE Policy Program. Enrollment in the program, however, has a modest annual fee that will entitle you to one FREE policy of your choice per month for ONE YEAR. Check this link: <http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/policy_center>

Best wishes.

It's good to have some policy at hand and being used consequently implementation is easy as some loophole has already been plugged. We should use as needed and be ready to implement.

Thanks,
