Please suggest whether wages should be paid to workmen for 08.01.2019 & 09.01.2019 (Bharat Bandh called by Trade Unions).

Our company did not receive any communication informing customers that our establishment would be closed on the aforementioned dates. Our establishment was open, but the Labor Union prevented workers and staff from entering the plant.

Therefore, in my opinion, "No Work" equals "No Pay."

Please advise.

Establishment never support any strike or bandh, so either no pay or it would get adjusted from any leave alternate way the management can offer to work on any off day to fill the gap
