Dear all,

One of our employees has taken an amount of Rs. XXXX from our account. Upon verification, we found that he did take the amount, and he has also accepted to repay the same. He has asked for a receipt for that amount. Should we give him a receipt? If so, please provide the receipt format to issue to the employee.

What was the nature of advance? Was it for business use of the company or personal loan? Giving cash receipt when amounts are paid back or settled is normal procedure and can be done.

This is not advanced. He took an amount from our bank account using a cheque and was finally caught and paid back the money. We have not taken any disciplinary action against him since he has been working for many years and this was the first incident. He needs the receipt for the money he repaid.
