I joined a company on 10th July 2017. At that time, PF was not applicable to the company, but the employer deducted PF amount from the first salary. From April 2018, PF became applicable to the company. The employer refunded my deducted PF amount from July 17 to March 18, but he didn't refund his contribution. My salary is based on the CTC package, and the employer's contribution is included in it. So please guide me, should I get the employer's PF contribution for that period or not?

Answer in short is no.

CTC does mean the amount you will get as salary. It just means the cost to the company, i.e., the cost incurred in total for each employee. Please get the concept of CTC clearly, and then no confusion will take place.
