Hi Venkat,

If an individual's gross salary exceeds Rs. 5,000 but does not exceed Rs. 10,000, the PT amount to be deducted in Maharashtra would be 175. If it exceeds Rs. 10,000, then the PT amount to be deducted would be Rs. 2,500 per annum (yearly).

a) Rs. two hundred per month except for the month of February, which equals 2200.
b) Rs. three hundred for the month of February, which equals 300.

Hi Everybody,

Can anyone tell me if we have the main plant in Bangalore and another unit in Uttarakhand, and due to a mistake in using the same Payroll Software at both ends, professional tax has been deducted for Uttarakhand employees and deposited in Bangalore? Can we claim a refund for this mistake?
