Hi,

Please confirm the state you belong to. Based on your status, I presume you are inquiring about Mumbai. According to the Shops Act for Mumbai, employees are entitled to 21 days of leave per year with a maximum accumulation limit of 42 days. These 21 leaves are applicable to associates who have worked a minimum of 240 days in the last year.

As rightly answered by Umakanthan Sir it depends on the company under which it has been registered. The leave cannot be less than the prevailing law of the S&E and/or Factories Act of that state.

As per the act, it's 1 earned leave for 20 days of working. Usually, manufacturing companies give CL - not more than 12 per year, SL - 10 per year to non-ESIC employees, EL - 21 to 30 depending on the company's leave policy.
