I have joined a private company and submitted my 10th and 6th-semester mark sheets during an interview. I joined as a trainee on 21st June, and they gave me an acknowledgment form stating that they would return my documents after 3 months from the date of joining. However, due to medical issues, I am unable to continue my training. They are pressuring me to complete the training as I signed a training agreement for 1 month. Is there any remedy for this? Please help me retrieve my original marksheets.

Dear Deepikag,

Nobody can retain your original documents in any scenario. However, they can harass you if you have broken their terms. Keep one thing absolutely clear in your mind - in training programs, companies make huge expenses only to enhance their employees. Therefore, if you go back on your word, the company will definitely harass you as they have incurred expenses.

Regarding your excuse (medical issue), if it's genuine, you can submit proof to them and explain the actual reason for not completing the training program.

Once again, no one can keep your original documents in any scenario. For further clarifications or information, you can email or message me on WhatsApp.

Thank you.
