An employee, aged about 58 years, joined your institute after retiring from some other organization. Please issue her the PF Declaration Form - new Form No. 11.

If she was covered under EPF in her previous employment, find out whether she has withdrawn her EPF accumulations. Further, determine if she is already drawing EPS pension.

If she has not yet withdrawn her EPF, you can cover her under EPF and continue to remit contributions up to the maximum ceiling of Rs 15,000.

Gross salary has nothing to do with EPF contribution. EPF contribution is remitted based on basic salary, dearness allowance, and variable dearness allowance only. Considering that you are employed as an HR manager, please frame your questions properly.

Dear S M Mohite, as per PF guidelines if Basic + DA is on and above Rs. 15000 /- for said employee then you need not to deduct PF from her account.
