Dear Seniors,
I want to know what compliance we need to adhere to under the Minimum Wage Act. Like what type of returns do we need to submit under the MW Act? Please share practical knowledge about the MW Act.
Thanks,

Dear Anish, Minimum wages act insures that labours will get wages as prescribed by government time to time. Under MWA you have to file an annual return in Form-III on or before 1st Feb. Thanks

Which state are you in?
In Maharashtra, there is no requirement for returns under the Minimum Wages Act. The requirements are now combined with the Factory Act returns. However, other states will have different requirements. You will need to read the minimum wages rules of your state and check.
In terms of actual compliance, you need to ensure that you are paying your workers' salary/wages (Basic Plus DA) above the minimum wages. These are revised every six months, so you need to keep track of when the revision has taken place and update your salary structure to remain compliant.
