I have got an opportunity to work for a leading MNC automobile company but in an off-role (3rd party payroll). So, I am a bit confused about whether to join or not. Please guide me.

Mr. Subhankar,

Please analyze which company you are currently working for and what your position is.

Working for an MNC in an Off Role position may not contribute much to your future career growth. Check if the MNC has any specific rules regarding Off Role employees after a certain period based on certain criteria. Once you have clarity on the above points, you can make an informed decision. Always consider your future growth prospects in mind.

Best wishes,

Dear Subhankar,

Working on a third-party payroll is not very encouraging and does not offer career growth. These days, most well-known MNCs keep employees on third-party payrolls, which may give the employees a feeling of working with known MNCs, but the reality is that they are not readily welcomed in other companies. It is advisable to think twice before jumping to join an MNC on a third-party payroll.

I am an employee in a private company since 1992 in the state of Haryana. However, the company has adopted a policy of working 7 days a week without any rest allowed in the month/year, including national days and festivals such as 15th August, 26th January, Diwali, Holi, etc. Could you kindly suggest where I can file a complaint about this?

Regards

Mr. Aguptapnp (whatever be your real name),

First of all, your question seems to be quite hypothetical as no private company is expected to keep its office open for all 365/366 days of a year in any situation. Can you please clarify what type of job you are doing in that private company in Haryana?

"I'm an employee in a private company since 1992."

Do I understand that you have been working in the same company since 1992 without any break? It seems difficult to believe. Please consider lodging a complaint with the labor officer of the area for redress.

Nathrao ji,

Members can well understand that the querist was unable to know for all the 23 long years that he was working in a company which has adopted a 7-day working week with no rest allowed in the month/year, as well as on national holidays, festivals, and now, after 23 years, he wants to know where he can complain about that! Is he not kidding and taking the members for idiots?

To be frank, I have my own doubts about the author of the original post as well as the present post being the same, as both joined this forum only 2 days back (31.12.2015). Even the original post about "opportunity to work for a leading MNC automobile company but in off-role (3rd party payroll)" also seems to be a hypothetical or academic story by the author just to make fun of the members who attempt to reply to his query.
