Dear Sir,
Last year, I joined a CPSU as a Technical Trainee and started receiving a stipend. The appointment letter was only for one year for the trainee post, and after the completion of the training period, confirmation was to be done as per the PSU standing order. However, instead of confirming my service, the Management unfairly extended the training period without any reason.
I have now served for 20 months, including the initial one-year training period, but there has been no communication from the management side so far. There are 10 of us facing the same issue. During the advertisement, it was mentioned as a confirmed post, but the appointment letters issued were for trainee positions. We are performing all tasks as permanent employees but are receiving a stipend instead of a full salary. We belong to the workman category.
Please advise on the steps or actions I should take.
Regards,
Yash

Dear Sir,
I did not receive any warnings, and I also discussed this matter with the HOD. They showed me my performance report, which they had forwarded to the HR person. That was okay. However, the HR person is neither interested in discussing this matter nor providing any appropriate reply.
Please advise.

All affected workers need to give their complaints in writing. Unless departmental remedies are exhausted, one cannot go to court. However, a complaint to the labor officer will have a good effect. One must remember that every action has a reaction. Management may create further trouble when you initiate action.
