PLZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ can anybody help me in getting a new job
Hi Friend......... Myself Geet........... from Mumbai............ I have done BCom and I was working in operations for the last 3 years. Now I am in the last year of MBA HR. But I was not happy with my operations profile because HR was the field that always attracted me. So I left this job and 2 months ago joined as an HR executive on a lower salary than my previous job.
But now I think I have been caught in the wrong job as I don't have any work. Out of 8 hours, I hardly work for 1 hour. Now I feel very sad as I have left my settled career, high salary to join HR, but got caught in the wrong job. Please tell me what to do???
And also suggest if you have any good openings in HR. I am from Mumbai and interested in a Generalist profile.

Dear friend,
I agree with you, but getting demotivated and not letting your seniors know about this is not the only solution. Try once, and if you don't succeed, then look for a change. Show me one company where an employee is 100% satisfied. Satisfaction does not come by itself; it's a feeling. For example, so-called MNCs like Infosys and Microsoft have a lot of loopholes. People work because of the salary, brand name, and they know that if they work for a while and look for a change, they are paid well with a decent position.
More importantly, Geeta has changed her field of work from operations to HR. So initially, most of them face this kind of suitability problems. I strongly advise Geeta to solve the problem wisely than running away from it. What is the guarantee that you won't face a similar situation in another company? They might pay you well.
Take a wise decision. We are all sharing our views and ideas as we have seen many similar kinds of situations. At the end of the day, it's you who has to implement.
All the best.

Hi all,
Thanks for your comments. I think you are misunderstanding me. I never said that HR doesn't have work. I know what work HR involves. If you read my post carefully, you will come to know that I have joined HR because of my liking. My concern is that in my current job, I don't have work here. I have also approached my bosses with hundreds of solutions, but he is not ready to accept any. According to him, "CHALNE DO Jo CHAL RAHA HAI." To explore the real HR, I want a change. I hope the matter is clear to you.

The second post says HR has no work and management has lots of work - I strongly disagree with that!
If some people do not understand the roles and responsibilities of human resources and its different verticals, please do not comment!
As for where Geet is concerned, I feel you should switch jobs... get in where you know for sure your job profile is something that you're passionate about and you'll enjoy!

Hi all, I am BCom-Mgt Hons, MBA-HR, and LLB as well. I completed my MBA in 2004. Before that, I worked in an administrative role, and currently, I am still in the same field but I am interested in transitioning to a career in HR.
Should I consider switching to entry-level HR positions with lower pay, or should I continue in my current role? What would you suggest I do? Please advise.
