- EPF wages = Rs. 15,000/-
Calculation Details
- Total Contribution = 24%
- Employee Contribution to EPF = 12%
- Employer Contribution to EPF = 3.67%, and the remaining 8.33% is contributed to the Employee Pension Fund.
Monthly Challan Calculation
- A/C No.01 = Employee Provident Fund = (3.67% + 12%)
- A/C No.02 = Admin Charge of Employee Provident Fund = 1.1%
- A/C No.10 = Employee Pension Fund = 8.33%
- A/C No.21 = EDLI Contribution = 0.5% of Pensionable Salary, i.e., 0.5% of Rs. 15,000 (from Sept-14; otherwise, it was Rs. 6,500)
- A/C No.22 = Admin Charges of EDLI Contribution = 0.01% of Pensionable Salary, i.e., 0.01% of Rs. 15,000 (from Sept-14; otherwise, it was Rs. 6,500)

I shall insert an Excel sheet for the calculation of EPS. The calculation will be done automatically if the salary effective from 01.09.2014 is Rs. 15,000 or above. If it is below Rs. 15,000, determine the pensionable salary by averaging the last 60 months' salaries and enter it into the corresponding column (D28).

There is a correction in your reply. Account No. 2 Administrative charges are not 1.1%. It is 0.65% w.e.f. 01/04/2017. Additionally, 0.01% of administrative charges for the EDLI scheme under A/c. No. 22 have been totally waived. This is for your information.
