Saikumar ji has correctly explained the relationship between unions and management. There should always be a win-win situation in any relationship. Unions and management are like the two wheels of the same chariot. These two wheels should be of the same size and strength to run smoothly. No one should have the upper hand over the other for the smooth operation of the company. Both parties should maintain a cordial relationship. This is just an additional point to what Saikumar ji mentioned.

Greetings.

Your Query: "I want to know more about the union management relations concepts." (Post dated 23.9.14)

Position Truth Option: "Union-Management Relations" is inevitable. It is almost "naturally embedded"; a part and parcel of People "Coming Together, Staying Together for Working Together". Inescapable, Unavoidable, "indwelling", entwined for the creation of Wealth & Wellbeing. Without the "Others" Nothing Much Can Be Achieved.

Somehow, somewhere for some, the Union-Management Relations - Juxtaposed as Partners in Progress in reality - came to mean somewhat undesirable, unwelcome, a painful confrontation and the likes. It is not so nor ought to be so viewed. What was "missed", overlooked were

Benefits/Advantages of Harmony; "Humane Touch" which is "redeemable" any time, anywhere for anyone.

Since Nothing is Good or Bad and Our Thinking makes it so, we - the Union and the Management" which are Legal Entities - should become

Aware, should Accept the Truth and Act upon that New-Found Acceptance to Renew the Relations.

Union-Management are Just Juxtaposed to jointly Convert all Stumbling Blocks into Stepping Stones. The moot point is "Do we begin and When?" This Idea/Concept is real and Worth Pursuing; Worthy of Our Mutual Attention.

I experienced during my Employment/Working Life "Glorious Union-Management Relations" notwithstanding naturally-occurring Misunderstandings. And Experience is by far, the Best Proof.
