Dear friends,
I am attaching an interesting judgment delivered by the Gujarat High Court in which the court has held that a part-time employee is not excluded from the definition of 'workman' under the Industrial Disputes Act, and accordingly, he could also enjoy the benefits applicable to a workman. Whether he is a workman or not is a mixed question of law and fact. It indirectly also accepts the concept of dual employment at the same time.
Thanks
