Dear All,
I left my previous company 5 months ago. I am filling out the PF withdrawal form (Form 19 & 10 C), but my withdrawal form has been rejected twice due to a double PF account number. This is a mistake and fault of the PF consultant.
Three months before leaving the company, I discussed the issue of double numbers with our PF consultant. However, he did not take any action on it. Now, I am facing problems with the PF withdrawal process.
Can I take any legal action against the PF consultant?
Regards,
Satish

Dear Satish,
What do you mean by double PF Number? Please clarify so that a solution to your issue can be suggested.
You cannot take action against the consultant as he is not the authority to deduct and deposit PF, nor does he allot the PF numbers. It is the employer who is responsible for the correctness of the details, contributions, etc. It is better if you write to your employer for clearance of the PF amounts.

If you have a Double PF Account Number, please instruct your consultant to fill out two separate PF Claim Forms and indicate different PF Numbers on each form. Additionally, seek advice only from your consultant and inquire about the specific reasons for the rejection of the claims forms.

Dear,
This is for your information that you can process PF withdrawals if the consultant provides a letter on their letterhead with the authorized signature, confirming the double entry of the PF number. This letter should also state the monthly contributions of the member to facilitate changing to a new number with the concerned Commissioner of PF. The processing time for this request will be only 2 to 3 days for the accounts section in the PF office.

First of all, please check the contributions in both the PF numbers. You have to get the same transferred from one PF number to the other and then apply for withdrawal.
