Hello,

I made a stupid mistake in my life in search of a better package. I falsified my experience and submitted forged documents to a new company. I didn't know the concept of background verification, and one month after, HR asked me some tough questions. I honestly accepted it and pleaded a lot to keep my job, but they gave me a termination letter. All this happened in less than 60 days.

Now, my question is simple: What is my future? Can I just search for another job and tell them about the mistake I made, or should I hide that information?

Thanks

Do not be disheartened. Start your career from where you began your previous one. Always present the true picture. Please note that in life, nobody, not even a wife, becomes a partner in your wrong deeds, though everyone will share in your goodwill. Therefore, stand up and restart your career from the beginning.

Hi,

Many candidates, in the absence of proper professional guidance, make these mistakes in their career. The good thing is that you realize and accept your mistake.

Now, coming to the solutions:

1. Prepare a new CV with correct information and start applying for a new job.
2. Since you have hardly spent a couple of months, the gap in employment will not require a strict justification.
3. Promise yourself that you will never repeat this mistake in your career.

Hoping that this would help.

Sandeep

Dear Anonymous,

I am happy that you have realized your mistake, which is the greatest quality of a simple person. Everybody makes mistakes, but realizing the same and taking a vow not to repeat or make the mistake in the future goes a long way. I like the suggestions given by Sh. V K Gupta and Sh. Sandeep that you start your career afresh. You may forget the service period of two months, which is not a long period and may not affect your future prospects. Always remember that honesty pays off in the long run.

We, all members of Cite HR, wish you good luck and all the best for your future endeavors.

Hello,

It's good to accept our mistakes and keep promising not to repeat them in the future. Well, I completed my MBA in HR through distance learning. I have 3 years of work experience in HR from various companies. I am completely dissatisfied with my career. I got married in January this year and resigned from my job in December due to marriage. I went abroad for 3 months, and after coming back, I tried to find a job, but I am still jobless. Now, my question is: Was getting an MBA through distance learning a mistake? If so, please help me with how to progress in the HR field or what steps I should take next.

I am very upset and can't find the right way. I also want to prepare myself for the NET examination. Please tell me if I am eligible for the NET exam and also if there is a need to pursue an MBA again.

Help me.
