Dear All,
Is it possible to transfer the Provident Fund of a rejoined employee to a new account? If yes, which form is necessary to fill? How long should the transfer process take?
If no, will an RTI query to EPFO help in getting the resolution?

As per the EPF Act, PF transfer is mandatory if you are employed in any factory or establishment to which the act applies for a continuous period of less than 2 months. According to the new EPF office circular, transfer form attestation made by either the previous employer or the present employer is valid.
Thank you.

Dear Sir,
The re-employed person can even continue with the old number if the management accepts it, and in case of non-withdrawal. The employer can assign a new number upon re-employment; in such a scenario, they can transfer the previous P.F. account to the present account number. It will take a maximum of one month for the transfer of your account.

Dear Mr. Gurumurthy,
It cannot be possible for the old account number to continue. If the employer has submitted his name for deletion, i.e., on Form 10 monthly return (which is now done online), his name will be removed from the list. At that time, a new number should be allotted.

Well...! When an employee leaves an organization and joins another, once they complete 3 months of continuous service with the new EPF account, they are required to apply with Form-13 in order to transfer the previous EPF amount into the new EPF account.
