I have landed a job as an HR executive in a startup organization with 25 employees. The organization is product-based and specializes in game development products. Could you please guide me on how to establish the most effective work environment in the company? I am currently in a dilemma on how to proceed with the best practices. What exactly do you need? Start little by little and step by step. First, implement all mandatory statutory requirements, then move on to employee benefits, policy framing, HR policies, career progression, etc.

Congratulation for challenging role and working in startup organization is good opportunity for learning and experimenting. First insure that you have all legal requirements/docs in place such as PF, ESI, S&E etc. Second maintain proper records of all employees documents appointment contracts, Educational mark sheets etc, Frame best HR policies internet is full of this stuff but be careful “One man's meat is another man's poison”.
Every organization have something unique in there DNA...which separate it from rest...find it and built on it....last but most important Pay adequately and pay on time.
