I would like to know if it is mandatory for private Ltd companies in Bangalore to divide the total number of leaves into CL/PL/SL, or is it okay if we give them the total number of leaves and they can use it the way they want? Could any one of you help me with the relevant links related to this?

It is better to bifurcate those leaves as CL/PL/SL. For that, you should prepare the leave policies. If you don't do so, then everything shall be considered as PL only. Moreover, there is an obligation from the Factories Act as well as the Shops & Commercial Act.

If for Factories the Industrial Employement Act ( Standing Orders ) applicable then IEA speaks about Casual leave so it is better to bifurcate the leaves....

Under which act is your organization covered: the Factories Act or the Shops and Establishment Act? The Factories Act does not specify the bifurcation of leaves. If your organization is under the Shops and Establishment Act, then I suggest you refer to the rules.
