Hello,

I am an HR professional working for 7 years in the industry. Recently, I have been given the opportunity to work in rural areas and villages as part of the CSR initiative of my organization. My question is: Is Corporate Social Responsibility a different field of profession, particularly in India? If yes, what are the different career avenues in this field?

Thanks,

Ok, apart from starting an NGO, are there any other options available for CSR in business management/HR management field? Like, how to inculcate CSR as a business strategy of the organization so that the ROI of CSR activities may be calculated?

Good to learn that CSR is given importance in organizations in terms of business strategy. I was also searching for any professional course or diploma program in our country which trains you to become a CSR professional for business management. However, I was not able to find any. Maybe CSR is still in a developmental phase in India, and only people working with CSR-oriented organizations may be able to carve out a professional career from it. This means that mainly on-the-job experience is the main career maker in the CSR field today.
