Accept and respect others as they are, in return you will get acceptance and once others accept you as you are, quite a bit is achieved on emotional front....

Hello Mr. Atul Sharma,

My compliments to you for making a very good presentation. As I read through it a couple of times, I could visualize the five basic features propounded by Daniel Goleman: Self-Awareness, Self-Control, Motivation, Empathy, and Socializing. The visuals also give a good, sober feeling.

Hi Atul,

I read the PowerPoint presentation you shared. What you have presented is extremely simple for those who understand. Those who comprehend probably already do 80% of these things and are actively engaged. However, for those who do not prioritize these actions based on their own understanding of their importance, it is challenging to make them grasp the significance of these practices, let alone persuade them to implement them. There are only a few individuals who make an effort to understand and then put those learnings into practice.

I appreciate you sharing this with everyone. It prompted me to reflect on how many of these practices I currently follow and those that you recommend.

A dissent note.

Emotions are many. They have a complex impact on the psyche, so there cannot be any simple ways to achieve good emotional health.

On the other hand, if the ways were 'simple,' the discussants must have already put them into practice in life by now. Will they please share their beneficial experiences to encourage the remaining community members?

Reply to Mr. Jogeshwar Mahanta:

Reply: We are born with 5 basic emotions: glad, sad, mad (angry), scared, sex.

They have complex bending in the psyche. So there cannot be any simple ways to good emotional health.

Reply: You are free to think any way and reach any conclusion.

The other way round. If the ways are 'simple,' the discussants must have put them into practice in life by now.

Reply: I have been sharing these simple methods since I did my MA in psychology, and my trainees and clients have found them useful and handy.

Will they please post their beneficial experiences for the encouragement of the remaining community members?

Reply: Dear friends, please share your experiences and validate that all big things in life come from simple yet common knowledge. It depends on how serious and regular you are to put them into practice.

All of us know smoking is bad, yet some people smoke. We all know exercise is good. How many of us do it regularly?

Ten Simple Ways show you the way. You need to walk on your own. You may attend my open workshops to see how I support people to apply the simple things. 🙂

Are you firm on it, or is there a possibility of amendment(s)?

I don't have to be firm on something that is the base of NLP as taught by Dr. Richard Mchugh and many other NLP masters. You may ask all of them to amend this information... :) These five emotions can manifest in many other feelings....

Dear Atul,

From your PPT, I would like to share the following:

1) Mirror: I always look at myself every day, I love myself. Maybe not directly in the mirror, but I always affirm it to myself. This practice has helped me create space for myself and has made me more confident.

2) Sharing: I always share everything with my mother, regardless of what it may be, especially things that disturb me. This practice has helped me open up more and more, making me feel lighter. I feel very optimistic about facing any challenges.

3) Exercise: I exercise daily, which makes me feel flexible and keeps me active throughout the day. I also meditate.

4) Learning: I enjoy reading novels as a hobby. Whenever I have leisure time, I like to immerse myself in books. This helps me enhance my imagination and concentration skills.

5) Friends: I consider everyone in my workplace as my friends. I enjoy going out with them on weekends, which allows me to take a break from my routine life and prepares me to be active at work on Mondays.

6) Creativity: I usually spend time with my diary, where I pour in all my thoughts. This practice helps me improve my communication and expressive skills. It has inspired me to write stories, and I hope to publish them one day. This encouragement boosts my confidence to face future challenges.

7) Involved: I'm not currently involved in this.

8) Help: I don't hesitate to ask for help when needed. This approach helps me build closer relationships with others and gives me a sense of belonging.

9) Relaxing: That is the best part after a tiring day.

Perhaps the beneficial effects you claim are merely a placebo and sham. Could you please create a profile of your emotions based on the above 5 categories using a 0-100 point scale? Is your emotional profile stable or does it oscillate up and down over time?

I'm not concerned in whichever way you think and want to interpret things.

People with good emotional health are in control of their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. They feel good about themselves and have good relationships. They can keep problems in perspective.

It's important to remember that people with good emotional health sometimes have emotional problems or mental illness. Mental illness often has a physical cause such as a chemical imbalance in the brain. Stress and problems with family, work, or school can sometimes trigger mental illness or make it worse. However, people with good emotional health have learned ways to cope with stress and problems. They know when they need to seek help from their doctor or a counselor.
