Hi,
I am not sure whether this is the right place to post this query. I have a doubt in PF transfer process. Whether the EPS amount will transfer from the old employer to the new employer's account or not.
For example, I worked for "X" company, which has its own PF trust, and later joined "Y" company, which will manage the PF through RPFC. I submitted the PF transfer Form 13, and the amount transferred from the Trust to the RPFC account. I received Annexure K from the previous employer, and it is showing the EPF amount only.
I doubt whether the EPS amount, I mean the amount related to Form 10 C, will transfer to the new account when we transfer the PF from the Trust to the RPFC account.

Hi,
Recently, I came to know that the EPS amount will not be transferred to RPFO from the TRUST account. Similarly, if you previously worked with an RPFO account holder establishment and then joined a TRUST account holder establishment, the same case applies.
When I inquired why, they told me that this is all due to the trust receiving an exemption for EPF amounts alone. I still need an expert's reply in this regard.
Thanks,
Pons

Hi Ponlaxmi, No trust is keeping the EPS portion. The custodian of EPS fund is EPFO. It can be transferred when you join another employer, as far as I knw. Wait for experts comment. Pon

Hi,
Very few trusts have an exemption to maintain a pension fund. Your trust is one of those that have taken exemption for the EPF fund and have a pension fund with the RPFC. In this case, you have to file a separate Form-13 with RPFC to transfer your pension amount along with Annexure K and the cheque you received from your trust.

As already pointed out, there are hardly any establishments that have an exemption from the Pension Fund. So, the Custodian of the Pension Fund is RPFC, not the trust management. The contribution towards EPS is filed with RPFC under your PF Code. The EPS amount is also transferable upon joining a new employer.

Hi,
As per my knowledge, EPS funds are transferred to the EPF Department, and both EPF and the employer's contributions are paid by the trust in which you are working. If you fill up Form No.11 for the transfer of your contributions, everything will be transferred to your new PF Account.

Dear Sir,
In my opinion, there is nothing to worry about as the exempted establishment maintains the PF of the employees. They report compliance under EPS to the concerned RPFC, and the same is automatically taken care of once the PF is transferred to the new RPFC office via the new employer, as per the submission of required forms for this purpose.

Dear Friends,
As you all know, contributions to EPS of every member are to be remitted to the EPS accounts maintained by the jurisdictional RPFC's office. The EPS portion is never retained either by the Trust or by the employers themselves. So, there is no question of cheque payment by the exempted EPF Trust. Once the transfer form(s) are submitted through the respective employers, the EPS account from one RPFC to the other gets transferred. The transferring employer, no doubt, has to send the contribution particulars in the form duly attested for effecting the transfer. The transferred member will still hold on to his/her old allotted account number under sec. 25, 23 of the EPS, 1995. (Ref. Form No. 13 & 13-A). That's all.

Clarify for me - I have transferred my Old Org. PF to New Org. PF account. When I checked my Passbook, I found out that only my PF amount got transferred, and I didn't receive the EPS amount. The transfer entry shows EPS balance as ZERO. Please confirm if we can transfer the EPS amount or not.

Clarify me regarding EPS -
1. I have transferred my PF from Old Org. 1 (PF Trust and RPFO, Bandra) to New Org. 2 (PF Trust and RPFO Ahmedabad). When I received the letter from Old Org. 1, I learned that only my PF amount was transferred, and the amount under EPS was retained/to be transferred from RPFO (Bandra, Mumbai).
2. Now, I have changed my job from Org. 2 to New Org. 3, which has a new RPFO (at Vashi, Navi Mumbai). I applied for online PF transfer (mid-October) as both Org. 2 & 3 have digital signatures, and it is still in process after 1.5 months. Since Org. 2 has a PF trust, the EPS amount might be kept at the regional PF office in Ahmedabad due to trust involvement.
How can I transfer the EPS amount from Old Org. 1 (RPFO Bandra) to New Org. 3 (Vashi, Navi Mumbai)? Will it be the same condition as point 1, or will the EPS amount along with the PF amount be transferred from Org. 2 to Org. 3 RPFO?
If it is not transferred to Org. 3 RPFO, then how do I proceed with the same?
Thanks/Regards,
Ashok
