I need your spotlight on the captioned topic. For the past 8 months, I have been working in Mumbai (H.O) and would like to request a transfer to Gujarat (my home state). The company also has a branch in Gujarat, and I have been living apart from my family and friends. The primary reason for seeking a transfer is to be closer to my family, friends, and my culture.
Additionally, I am interested in pursuing a Ph.D., and my mentor is based in Gujarat. Traveling across states frequently is not feasible, hence the desire to relocate. I would like to inquire about the process of applying for a transfer from Mumbai to Gujarat. Also, I am curious whether this transfer would affect my compensation if my responsibilities remain the same at the new location.
