Hi All,
I'm in a real mess. I completed my MBA in 2010 from a college that was not UGC approved, and they awarded a diploma of DEC. Currently, I have been working as a recruiter for the past 2 years and now aspire to pursue a career as a Lecturer. Because my college lacked UGC recognition, I am ineligible for NET.
I am seeking guidance on the steps I should take next. Can I pursue a Ph.D.? Am I eligible for it? Are there any universities that offer Ph.D. programs without the UGC criteria? Please advise me on the procedures.
Additionally, I would like to know whether a regular Ph.D. or a part-time Ph.D. is a better option.
Thank you.

Dear Friend,
You can pursue a Ph.D. from universities that are not approved by the UGC. As an employed individual, you may not be able to opt for a full-time Ph.D., which can be time-consuming, taking anywhere from 4 to 8 years. Instead, you could consider registering for a part-time Ph.D. with an external guide. This means you can choose a university outside your district, and your guide for this study could be from your own location.

Hi,
Thank you so much for your response; I felt so motivated after receiving it. Pursuing a part-time Ph.D. is a very good option. Could you suggest a few universities/colleges offering a Ph.D. in HR that are not approved by the UGC? I know I'm bothering you, but your guidance will help me a lot.
Thank you,

Dear Friend,
NET-UGC - books are available for all major subjects. Please contact any leading bookshop for the same. Meanwhile, yesterday was the last date for applying for NET online, and two copies are to be furnished to the NET exam center. I think you might have complied with these requirements before preparing for the NET exam...
