1. Could you please suggest the procedure to change the name of an existing company? If the company name is changed, do we have to alter the standing orders as well?
2. Should we surrender our license and apply for a new one, or can we continue using the same license and request a name change?

Dear MUBASHIRA,
You not mentioned your co. PVT LTD / LTD co.
The following steps should be done for the same
1.You apply to Fresh Certificate of Incorporation Consequent upon Change of Name changed your co. name to GOVERNMENT OF INDIA - MINISTRY OF CORPORATE AFFAIRS Registrar of Companies @ your state. (It is base certificate to change of all your records)
2. Factory license original copy, list of directors (Triplicate), Form-2 along with court fee stamp, (Triplicate) Demand Draft Rs. 50 (apprx) for name change if directors changed the amount will be doubled.
3. Then you modify pollution control board, E.B, Telecommunication, sales tax, service tax, income tax & etc….

Please suggest the process of changing the name on the factory license. Currently, we have an incorporation certificate, which we have already used to change the name. Our company was previously a Private Limited (Pvt Ltd) entity but has now transitioned to a Limited (Ltd) structure.
