Please advise on the correct definition of minimum wages. Our local labor consultant claims that minimum wages mean only Basic + D.A. He says all the other salary components do not matter. Our company provides Basic + HRA + TA, which is way over the minimum wages. However, if we consider only basic, then we have to increase the basic for everyone.

Make sure Basic + DA/ Special Allowance should not be lesser than the prescribed limit by the Appropriate Government it way differ from one State to Other State.
