Dear Mr. Sundar,

Legislature is normally a body constituted under the Constitution of India through which Bills are passed to become law. Legislative compliance is usually referred to as the steps that are to be taken and complied with while submitting legislation in the form of bills to parliament or state legislatures. After its passage in the said parliament/legislature, it becomes law thereafter. Commission or omission (terms of such laws) are typically termed as legal compliance.

'Legal' means as per the law; conforming to the standard/norms of the law; approved by law; or permitted by law.

'Legislative' means related to the legislature - the capacity/power to make laws; such as 'Legislative Power' - i.e., the power to make laws.

Hope this makes the point clear.
