Branding is a topic that comes under Marketing. It has nothing to do with HRM. So, I want to tell you that this project will not help you in this particular course because I understand that you are pursuing a course in HRM.
About developing a brand with special reference to the HRM course of your college. Branding can only be developed when you can offer consistent quality on any product or service. If your college can maintain consistent quality with outgoing candidates and also ensure a consistent track record in placements, you can think about building the brand image for your college and this course.
Brand-building strategies are very expensive, and your college has to host many quality programs in the HR field. Mostly, you have to focus on public relations to get newspaper space for your Human Resources department. Then, participating in all HR-related programs initially around places and later on in distant areas will also help. Your HR department can approach industries nearby to do HR-related exercises such as motivational and leadership workshops, etc.
By consistently engaging in these activities, you can build a brand image for your college and the HR department over time. Remember, you cannot build a brand in a single day; it will take much time and resources to establish a brand.
