Hi,
Could you please explain what exactly your query is? Are you trying to understand why HR does not cover human rights, or are you suggesting that HR violates human rights? Based on this, I would try to present some views.
Kind regards,
Dayanand.

Hi,
Let us understand the following issues.
HR, by and large, pertains to the broad guidelines covering the people process, practices, and procedures in an organization - be it a government or a private organization.
However, human rights are a set of guidelines as provided under the constitution of the country and have a separate machinery to ensure, monitor, and administer them.
For a company, its HR framework is maintained, monitored, and developed through its HR and is unique to that organization.
Whereas human rights, being a common set of guidelines applicable to the whole country, cannot be company or organization-based.
Hence, the company HR's cannot take the role of governing human rights but can put some basic processes to monitor that the law of the land is not violated in the company. These processes are part of a wider human rights framework.
For example, now it is mandatory in organizations to have a policy and a committee to prevent sexual harassment of its employees, which is part of a broader set of human rights guidelines.
Otherwise, the HR cannot take the role of the government.
