We have a small premise in Noida. We have some fire exiingusher as fire safety measure. We were getting yearly certificate from Fire department regarding testing and serviceability of them. This time they say they will not conduct any testing. Only fire NOC will be renewed. Which usually is taken once at the time of building construction.
We ceasefire cylinders for which warranty is for five years. Are we obeliged to take fire extinguisher testing certificate under any Shop and Establishment clause?

You never required testing certificate from Fire Department. Testing and maintenance can be done by any firemen. Periodic Maintenance of fire extinguisher is required depending upon type of extinguishers like monthly visual inspection, quarterly maintenance and HT every three years.
Warrenty is totally different. You dont need certificate but YES you need to have the records of maintenance and testing with you.
Check out if NOC is required each year???
