Dear Sangeeta,
Though I don't know the particular question pattern of HAL, in general, the question pattern of all Public Sector industries will be like this:
50% English, Quant, reasoning - Concentrate more to score in this paper.
50% Human resource management - Concentrate on OB and HR part compared to Labor Laws as most of these organizations give questions from OB, core HR, and principles of Management in the written test.
Suggested books are:
- Stephen Robinson - OB
- Principles of management: Koontz & Weirich
- HR: Any HR book like Mamoria, Subba Rao, Stephen Robinson, which gives a basic background.
- Books like "300 Models in HR" by Kandula Srinivas Rao and other books that give you insight into HRD interventions.
- Labor Laws: Khan and Khan
These books will assure success in the written test. For the interview, concentrate more on Labor Laws. You read Khan and Khan by Asia Law Publications. Do not miss it.
In general, the written test will be given 80% weightage, and the oral will be 20%.
I have cracked all the Navratna PSU examinations through these books.
Regards,
Ravi

Thank you very much, Ravi. This information is highly appreciated. I am also planning to take the test. Could you please elaborate on some main topics to study? Do I need to review Industrial Relations? Additionally, could you provide any PowerPoint presentations or links on OB topics or HRM topics?
