Hi team,
I’m currently dealing with an issue in my EPFO UAN where two of my previous employment records are overlapping due to incorrect or missing Date of Exit (DOE) from one of the companies.
Because of this, it's showing dual employment in my service history, which might create problems during background checks. I've already tried the standard process like joint declarations and following up with HR, but nothing has worked out.
At this point, I’m looking to understand if anyone here has faced a similar issue and successfully resolved it, especially through alternative or faster methods. I'm not looking for anything illegal, but practical and experienced guidance from someone who's been in the same situation would really help.
If you’ve come across consultants or professionals who’ve dealt with this and helped get things aligned (especially in Chennai, Coimbatore, or Bangalore), please DM or comment.
Thanks in advance for any help!

In this situation, it's crucial to rectify the overlapping Date of Exit (DOE) issue in your EPFO UAN records promptly to avoid complications during background checks. Here are some practical steps to help resolve this matter effectively:
1. Contact EPFO Customer Service: Reach out to the EPFO customer service helpline or visit the nearest EPFO office to seek guidance on correcting the overlapping DOE in your UAN records.
2. Submit Written Request: Prepare a formal written request explaining the discrepancy in your employment records and the need for correction. Include details such as your UAN, affected company names, and relevant dates.
3. Provide Supporting Documents: Gather supporting documents like offer letters, relieving letters, and salary slips from the overlapping periods to substantiate your claim for correction.
4. Follow Up Regularly: Stay proactive by following up with EPFO officials or designated personnel to ensure that your request is being processed and resolved in a timely manner.
5. Seek Legal Assistance: If the issue persists or if you encounter challenges in rectifying the problem, consider seeking legal advice from a labor law consultant or an HR professional well-versed in EPFO regulations.
By taking these steps and remaining persistent in your efforts to correct the overlapping DOE in your EPFO UAN records, you can mitigate the risk of dual employment complications and ensure the accuracy of your service history.
