Good evening all. We are facing an issue with EPFO EPS. We have paid a monthly contribution amount of EPS to share more than 1250/- per month. Employees facing this issue with EPFO at the time of their PF withdrawal.
Can you please tell me if there is a fixed slab for EPS contribution even if the employee's EPF wage is more than 15000/?

The EPS contribution as per the 2014 amendment is restricted to INR 15,000 only, and the maximum contribution to the Pension Fund is restricted to INR 1250 only. If you remember, this is the case pending before the Honorable Supreme Court of India for a hearing that arose based on the judgment of the Kerala High Court in the year 2018. This is a brief understanding of the significant story and legal battle ongoing on this matter. In your case, if you had remitted more than the excess amount, it has to be brought back to the EPF account of the member by approaching the Asst PF Commissioner - Accounts of your EPFO Regional Office or Sub-Regional Office as the case may be.
