Signing a Letter of Intent and Bond Before Joining
The employer asked me to sign a letter of intent before issuing the offer letter. They also required me to sign a bond for three years and provide a cheque under the pretext of training. Without these, the offer letter would not be issued. I signed the bond for three years, but the work environment was stressful.
Health Issues and Resignation
After serving for two years, my health began to deteriorate. I submitted my resignation after 28 months and consulted a neurologist. The neurologist recommended that my health issues were due to stress and depression. I attached this recommendation to my resignation email and requested an early release, which was approved by both managers and HR.
Completion of Duties and Employer's Demands
After 30 months, I completed the knowledge transfer to my colleague, handed over assets, and closed accounts. This was accepted as my last working day. However, the employer then demanded a large sum of money for my relieving but never justified where they had invested that money in me. They illegally declared me absconding and terminated me despite my serving the notice period until the agreed last working day. Now, the employer is using the cheque to blackmail me.

Hello, nothing to worry about. I suggest you drop a written complaint against your employer and mention everything clearly. Also, attach supporting documentation, such as the resignation email, etc. (You can file a complaint through online portals like https://samadhan.labour.gov.in/ or https://jansunwai.up.nic.in/).
If the labor department is unable to settle your case, you can consult an expert advocate regarding the same.
