This time, the government of Maharashtra has increased wages by 100% of the basic plus VDA as well. However, when contracting with government departments, they request three quotations every six months. VDA is taken into account, and the same was being done perfectly at a 7-10% increase in VDA annually. But now, with this burden of 100%, who will bear it? This cannot be assumed or predicted while quoting. Even if we do so, we might not secure the contract. If we do manage to secure it, the department may not award the tender as the rates are higher than their estimate. Kindly advise on who will pay this extra payment, as we have to sell ourselves to cover these increased wages.
