This is about my father's gratuity amount. It's been two years now and still, we haven't heard a simple yes or no from the organization. My father was working in a government library which operates under Delhi MCD and gets paid by them through a donated amount. He has passed away, and every time we reach out to the seniors there, they simply cite a lack of budget as the reason. Although they have been unable to pay their employees for the last 5 months, it has already been 2 years, and I am afraid they are just leading us on. Please assist.

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi is an autonomous local body notified by the Central Government as an establishment under Section 1(3)(c) of the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972. Therefore, file a claim under Section 7 of the Act before the Controlling Authority.
