Hi all, I have worked for the company for about 10 months (Dec 2016 to Oct 2017). Am I eligible to withdraw the PF amount, including the pension fund? On the PF site, it is mentioned "cessation (Short service)." What does it mean? Can someone please help?
From India, Bengaluru

You can withdraw both Pf and Pension Fund contributions. Shot service cessation only means that you are withdrawing not on account of attaining the age of superannuation.

Hi,

While submitting for PF, I am getting two options: a) Only PF Withdrawal and b) Only Pension Withdrawal. If I select the option Only Withdrawal, can I get the pension amount, or should I apply for both individually? I want to withdraw both PF amount and pension amount. Can anyone suggest? Please find attached the document for your reference.

Hi All,

I want to claim my PF amount from the UAN portal. The reason for leaving service is "CESSATION (SHORT SERVICE)." Please let me know the meaning of this.

However, I am presented with two options:
- Only PF Withdrawal (Form 19)
- Only Pension Form (Form 10c)

What does "DATE OF EXIT IS LESS THAN 2 MONTHS FROM TODAY" mean? Please find the attached screenshot.

On leaving an establishment, you can withdraw the PF only if you are not employed in another establishment to which PF is applicable. The law stipulates that you have to wait for two months to ensure that you are not employed. If your date of exit from the company is 24th July, you cannot withdraw the PF before 24th Sept. Therefore, you may wait until that date and apply for withdrawal on or after 25th Sept.

Thank you ! OK I will wait till 24th of September

Hi!

I left the organization in May 2018, and on 30th Oct 2018, I applied for the withdrawal of PF and Pension. How many days does it take to transfer the amount of PF and Pension into the account after an online application for PF and Pension?

Hi!

My ex-employer has given "CESSATION (SHORT SERVICE)" as my reason for leaving while entering my exit details on the EPFO website. What does this actually mean in "EPFO terminology"? And how can this affect my PF claims in the future?

Hi all,

I have claimed my PF amount only along with Form 15G through the online portal. However, the request was rejected by the portal, citing the reason "APPLY FOR PF WITHDRAWAL BEFORE APPLYING FOR PENSION BENEFIT/APPLY FOR PF WITHDRAWAL BEFORE APPLYING FOR PENSION BENEFIT."

Employment details:
Date Of Joining: 16-01-2017
Date of Leaving: 22-02-2018
Reason for Leaving Service: CESSATION (SHORT SERVICE)

I hope this helps clarify the situation. Let me know if you need any further assistance.

Hi,

I worked in Sahara India company for 7 years and 3 months. I want to claim the full amount of PF & Pension, but on the online portal, from Feb 18 to Feb 19, both the Employee & Employer amounts are showing, and for the previous 6 months, the PF amounts are not showing. Additionally, my exit date, which is 12 Aug 19, is also not showing, but my joining date, 12 May 2012, is displayed.

1 - Please guide me on how to claim the full amount of PF & pension?
2 - How can I mark the exit date with the reason for the exit?

Thank you.

Hi,

I want to withdraw my full PF amount. But when I apply for PF withdrawal on the EPFO site, there is one column for 'reason for leaving service.' There are 4 options: 'retirement, superannuation, permanent disability, & cessation (short service).' I'm confused about which option I should select. I worked in a company from 1 Dec 2016 to 30 Oct 2017. Kindly explain this to me.

Thank you. I selected the 'Cessation' option as the reason for leaving. Now, on the claim section, there are 3 options like 'only PF withdrawal (Form 19), only pension withdrawal (Form 10C)' and 'PF advance (Form 31)' - which claim option should I select? Please help me.

Since you are going for full withdrawal, you have to submit for PF withdrawal and Pension Withdrawal separately. Alternatively, you can withdraw only PF and keep your pension fund and once you get employed, continue the Pension with service benefits.

Hello sir, my total pf amount is 18000 so should i fill form 15g or not? Please help me.
From India, Pune

If your total service is less than five years, you have to file Form 15G and declare that you do not have other sources of income that will attract income tax. However, since the amount is less than Rs. 50,000, you need not file Form 15G.

Hi all,

I have worked for the company for about 5 months (02 Dec 2019 to 08 May 2020). Am I eligible to withdraw the pension fund? On the PF site, it is mentioned "cessation (Short service)". What does it mean?

The alert "DATE OF EXIT IS LESS THAN 2 MONTHS FROM TODAY/TOTAL SERVICE IS LESS THAN 6 MONTHS" is displaying on the screen. Can someone please help?

Thank you.

You are ineligible for a pension. To become eligible for a pension, you need to be a member of EPF/EPS for not less than 10 years. For a service of mere five months, at best, you can apply for a scheme certificate and keep it with you if you are planning to continue a job in other companies.

I have worked for 11 months. Can I withdraw all the money, which is the employee's share + employer's share, along with the pension contribution? Or what is the total amount that I can withdraw if the total amount of employee share as well as employer share is $12,000?

Please help me with this.

From India, Imphal

You can withdraw both since you have contributed for more than six months. For withdrawing PF, this is not applicable, but you can take it even if you worked for just a month. For Pension Fund contribution, you have to be a member for at least six months.
