I was working for Wipro for 18 months in their BPO sector some 5 years back. However, due to a family emergency, I was unable to attend work for more than a month. As a result, the company declared me as an absconder and removed me from the job. I would like to claim the amount that was put in my PF account. The company is unwilling to provide me with a letter stating that I am no longer working with their organization, and they also did not pay me my salary for the month I had worked. Please advise me on how to retrieve my money.

Hi,
There are 2 questions:
1. Do you want your PF money back? If so, you have to fill out forms 10c and 19, which can be downloaded from epfindia.com. Fill them out and submit them directly to the department (you must know the PF number to fill them out).
2. Regarding the salary for the month you worked - please contact the Accounts Manager. If you don't receive any reply, you can go to the labor court for non-payment, which will be resolved within 15 days.
