Dear HR,
Most of us have heard of the Belbin team role inventory. I would like to know if any of you have used this tool successfully in your organization. It would be interesting to find out if any organization has adopted Belbin as a standard to evaluate all its employees. Is it a feasible methodology for all employees, or will it work better with management teams?
Your participation in this discussion would be helpful for all of us in HR.
Thanks and Regards,

Hello Praveen,
This is Kulshum here. I am working as a soft skills trainer. In our organization, we conduct the induction program for TCS. The participants take this test, and the questionnaire helps them identify their inherent strengths and weaknesses, enabling them to work on them to become effective team members.
Hope this information is helpful to you.

Kulshum,
Thanks for the input. It surely helps. I wanted to know if TCS uses this test for team formation. Does it work in reality that you have a team where all members have high marks in the 8 or 9 areas of Belbin team members? Will that team perform well?
Thanks for your reply.
