Hi All,

I have a query regarding a name change in the PF account. I submitted a Joint declaration form at the PF office 4 months ago for one of our employees. I received an acknowledgment copy of that form from the PF office, but his name has not been corrected yet. Due to this issue, he is unable to upload/update KYC. How much time does it take to correct the name?

Issue with EPFO Name Corrections

I am also faced with a similar problem. Our company has sent 13 joint declarations for "Minor Corrections in Name" (basically spelling mistakes and/or missing initials with respect to AADHAAR). It has been 5 months now, but no action has been taken by the concerned EPFO despite repeated follow-up. I fail to understand the delay when there are clear-cut delegated powers for making such corrections issued via EPFO Circulars WSU/10(1)2013/Changes in MAP dated 16 Nov 2016 and WSU/9(1)2013/Settlement of Claim/TC dated 02 Dec 2013 (attached for reference). Is there a way out of this problem?
