Hi Buddy,

As far as my knowledge goes, there is no bereavement leave provision in labor laws. However, it falls under the company's leave policy, which means organizations can frame their own leave policy by accommodating such leaves.

Hi member,

In the leave policy, there are casual leave, half-pay leave, earned leave enumerated in general in all organizations. Maternity leave is only for lady employees. Quarantine leave is a special leave that will be granted to those employees whose family members are affected by viral diseases. This is to prevent the chance of spreading to other employees, upon higher authorities' approval.

Dear Deepa,

This leave is a granted paid time off from work for employees due to the death of a relative. Employees are eligible for up to 7 days of leave, if necessary, in the event of the death of an immediate family member (defined as parents, grandparents, siblings, spouse, children, and in-laws). This leave is generally provided for the demise of a close relative and depends on the policies framed by the organization. This leave is not legally entitled but is an innovative approach to HR policies in some private firms.

Sameera
