Dear All,

I am working as an HR Executive in a facility management company. Recently, I faced a problem regarding ESI applicability. In my company, a woman who was married and has one son is going through a divorce. In this situation, this employee's mother has a major health problem. Is she eligible for ESI benefits?

Please clarify.

Venkatramesh,

She is eligible for ESI if she is covered under ESI only. This means that if her name is included when you receive the ESI number, she will be able to receive treatment.

If not, you have to include her and proceed accordingly.

If possible, please take care of it.

Regards,
Srihari
